Because FlightPlanner is an independent assistance service and not an airline, most of what governs your refund depends on the fare rules of the airline you fly, not on FlightPlanner directly.
Every airline sets its own rules for cancellations, changes, and refunds based on the specific fare type purchased (for example, refundable vs. non-refundable tickets). Your FlightPlanner agent will explain the applicable airline's fare rules to you before you confirm a booking, so you understand your cancellation and refund options in advance.

If you paid a service fee to FlightPlanner for booking or change assistance, that fee covers the assistance provided during the call and is separate from the airline's own fare and fees. Whether a FlightPlanner service fee is refundable will be explained clearly by your agent at the time it is charged, before you agree to pay it.
Airline refunds, when applicable, are processed by the airline according to their own timelines, which can typically take anywhere from a few business days to several weeks depending on the airline and original payment method. FlightPlanner does not control how quickly an airline processes a refund.
Some fare types (particularly the lowest-priced "basic" or "saver" fares) may be entirely non-refundable except in limited circumstances required by law (for example, U.S. Department of Transportation rules on certain cancellations or significant schedule changes by the airline). Your agent will let you know if this applies to your fare before you book.
